Healing Hoop Pow-Wow

NOTICE:

The Healing Hoop Pow-Wow will no longer be moving forward. Thank you to everyone that has helped in the past to make this event successful! Lakota Way Healing Center want to give special recognition to:

Scott Floyd and Felicia Alvarez for all your many years of commitment and for your many years of dedicate service, hard work and dedication to the people of Colorado and the Healing Hoop Community.

WITHOUT YOUR EFFORTS THIS POW-WOW WOULD HAVE NEVER EXISTED. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING! - THE HEALING HOOP COMMUNITY

You can still be a part of this mission of healing by supporting our building projects today.

IT ALL STARTED WHEN...

The Lakota Way Healing Center wanted to give the community an event that is free for the entire family, honors the sacred connection of our community and the healing ceremony of dance and song.

The 1st Annual Healing Hoop Pow-Wow began the 1st weekend in October 2015. The Pow-Wow has been an annual event ever since. We continue to make the event bigger and better every year and have expanded with a teepee village for 2021.

This is a Free Event.

In the spirit of togetherness and affirmation of Native American Culture, presented FREE to the public by the Lakota Way Healing Center.

This is an opportunity for everyone to enjoy the finest dancing, singing, food, arts & crafts. The Pow-Wow is a community gathering that brings people together in celebration of life through dancing, singing and sharing traditional foods and crafts.

This is a drug and alcohol free event for the whole family that promotes sobriety through our cultural ways.

All are welcome to attend.

Our Healing Hoop Pow-Wow Committee is proud to present a Special honoring to all Veterans. We invite all members of the military, both Veteran and active duty and their families to join us in honoring and thanking this Country’s greatest heroes at our 5th Annual Healing Hoop Pow-Wow. Our Veterans unselfishly place their lives on the line for our freedom. They were ordinary people until they heard the call of duty and answered it. They left their families, their comfort and the lives they knew. They did not do it for recognition or fame or even the thanks we bestow upon them. They fought to protect our country, to maintain our way of life. As we honor our veterans and remember their great sacrifices, we also salute those who are currently fighting for our freedom. America’s Veterans have done everything asked of them in their mission to serve our country and it is never too late to give them a hero’s welcome home and offer our sincerest thanks and gratitude. We celebrate their bravery and valor and pay special tribute, for their service was not in vain, and they are appreciated.

Our Healing Hoop Pow-Wow committee will host a Men Traditional Special in honor of all Veterans who served this great country. we are calling on traditional Dancers to come and honor our warriors in this way. This will take place on Sunday 9/11/2022.

The Healing Hoop offers support and referrals to services for all veterans and their families. They need to know the benefits they can receive, where they can go to get them, what they can do to get help for all types of issues. The Healing Hoop is one place they can come for help and support. We are a haven for all service members and their families and offer the support needed to live civilian life with honor.
